To establish your potential eligibility for credit or hire purchase facilities, we will need to perform enquiries with Equifax Limited and/or Experian Limited, which, although unlikely, may affect your credit score. These will be soft credit searches which will not be visible to third parties on your credit report, although they will be visible to you. Equifax Limited and/or Experian Limited will not provide your credit information directly to you as part of this process and no information will be passed to any prospective lender without your further consent.

Equifax Limited and Experian Limited are UK credit reference agencies. A credit reference agency is a company that collects personal information from various sources and provides that personal information for a variety of uses (including to prospective lenders of credit for the purposes of those lenders making credit decisions about their prospective customers). Providers of the personal information that credit reference agencies hold about you include lenders, such as banks or building societies, who may provide credit reference agencies with credit information that they hold about you. Other sources of information that may be provided to credit reference agencies, about you, are from the Electoral Register, County Court Judgments, and Bankruptcies. When data providers share this personal information, credit reference agencies use the information to create a credit report about you.

DealTrak Limited has been appointed as a processing agent for and on behalf of Can Can Car Finance Limited and our select panel of lenders. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you consent to us passing your personal information to DealTrak Limited.
Further to completion of the soft credit searches with Equifax Limited and/or Experian Limited, you will either be asked to provide us with some further information, or you will be notified that you are ‘approved to select a car’. If you are notified that you are ‘approved to select a car’ you can attend an appointment at any of The Trade Centre Group PLC’s showrooms, where you will receive further information about the finance products available so that you can decide which product may be suitable for you.
DealTrak Limited will analyse your credit information to determine your financial status and use your information for the purposes of identifying and ranking the most appropriate credit products for you, taking into account your personal circumstances. Upon selecting a suitable vehicle, you can consent to your application for credit being submitted to one or more prospective lenders, identified as being able to provide appropriate credit products that may suit your requirements.
If you subsequently apply for credit, your credit information will be used by each prospective lender to assess your credit application and a hard credit search will usually be recorded on your credit file, which can adversely affect your credit rating.
Until a specific vehicle has been selected, it is not possible to predict the potential final outcome of any application for credit or hire purchase facilities. Each prospective lender will also carry out an assessment of the vehicle selected. Each prospective lender has the right to apply special conditions to an offer of credit, restrict the level of advance or term of agreement, or even to decline a previously accepted application following a full assessment of the finance proposal and any additional information requested. Can Can Car Finance Limited has no influence over any lending decision and acts only in its capacity as a credit broker. All applications are subject to status and no credit or hire purchase facility is guaranteed.
Further to you being introduced to prospective lenders, if you agree to enter into an agreement to finance a vehicle, The Trade Centre Group PLC will receive a commission payment from the lender.
You agree that your personal details and/or your credit information (‘your information’) may be used by Equifax Limited and/or Experian Limited to verify your identity. If there is reason to suspect that false or inaccurate information has been provided by you, your information may be passed to fraud prevention agencies and other law enforcement agencies who may access and use your information. Credit reference agencies and other organisations may access and use your information for the purposes of the prevention of fraud and for anti-money laundering purposes. Can Can Car Finance Limited will only process your personal information and data for the above purposes and on the basis that such processing is necessary for us to comply with the law, or is necessary for performance of a contract we have in place with you, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract.
